You Can Change Your Team Freely Out of Battle This is a great way to power up and become more defensible earlier than usual.įor Personas, you can typically get up to the Peronas available in the most recent Palace you were in as you progress lower since the tiers of Mementos are tied to the Palaces you clear. While new weapons and protectors become available with each new Palace, Mementos chests provide gear that would otherwise be locked until you reached the next Palace. However, you can also get gear that isn't yet available in any stores. While in Mementos, you can get a lot of cash quickly from fights with Shadows. For certain ranks and in between ranks, this can sometimes be used to get somewhere for free. If you get an invite to hangout with someone and you accept it, you will automatically fast travel to them without being charged, even if it's to a location not covered by your student pass. This is a small one, but it's good for saving cash early in the game. Gauge gifts based on the personality and interests of the confidant. While Ann might have no interest in getting a small cactus (though she'll be polite about it), someone like Ohya would be thrilled to get such a quirky gift. While you might know that you can give gifts to female confidants between ranks when you hang out, you might not know that certain gifts are too romantic for casual relationships and that confidants like and dislike different items. Lastly, if you see a grey card, you either have yet to meet their requirement or haven't spoken to them since you met the requirement(s).

When you open your map on your phone, hit Square and you'll get an information blurb on a given location as well as who specifically is available.Įven more so, it will give you a general idea of your progress with them. Keep that in mind when scheduling and make sure you're aware of everyone available on a given day before committing to anything. Your Confidant rank with them, whether or not a Palace is up, the day of the week, the weather, the month, the point in the story, and probably more all seem to affect where and when your friends will be available.
